Insect fauna of Jordan Project: Animal Biodiversity of Jordan Project:
Search for local bacterial isolates toxic for mosquitoes in Jordan for use as an alternative for traditional chemical control.
Study of the Wild Animals and Plants of the eastern bank of the River Jordan (Al Ardani Road).
Macroinvertebrate Baseline Survey in Wadi Rum Protected Area (South Jordan).

Establishing Entomological Museums in Jordan

  • Established an Insect Museum at Faculty of Bioagricultural Technology, Department of Beneficial Insects. This is mainly a teaching collection. Weekly field trips for one year (1999/2000), were conducted in many parts in Jordan. The collected specimens were pinned and preserved. Many specimens were identified based of on the available literature.
  • Established an Insect Museum at Al Al Bayt University in northern Jordan. Weekly field trips for six months in 2001 were conducted in many parts in Jordan. The collected specimens were pinned and preserved. Many specimens were identified based of on the available literature.
  • Established a small insect collection at the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature. The insects were collected from Wadi Rum at southern Jordan. It was meant to be used as a baseline data for further invertebrate research in the reserve.
  • Established an insect collection for Dibeen Reserve in northern Jordan with workers of the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature.sa
