About the Organizer
The Arab Society for Plant Protection (ASPP) is dedicated for the advancement and dissemination of knowledge of plant protection sciences and their practice in the Arab region. Although ASPP is concentrated in the Arab region, the published work of its members is of international importance and significance. ASPP is organizing ACPP 2020 in collaboration with the Tunisian Ministry of Agriculture represented by the National Agricultural Research Institute of Tunisia (INRAT).
ASPP was founded in 1981, has around 900 members at presentthat include research scientists, university professors, extension workers, administrators, diagnosticians, quarantine officers, graduate students, policy makers, industry agents and pest management personnel. The diversity of the Society is also reflected in the extensive range of members’ disciplines. These include entomology, plant pathology, virology, nematology, bacteriology, weed science, bio-control, mycology, biotechnology, crop protection and plant breeding.
