Ibrahim Al-Jboory: B.Sc. in Plant Protection (1976), M.Sc. in Acarology from Baghdad University (UB) 1978 and Ph.D. in Agricultural Zoology-Acarology from Bonn University, Germany 1987.He started his job in 1980 as a lecturer at College of Agriculture, UB;Professor 2000, Dean Assistant 1995-1997; Chairman of Plant Protection Department 2001-2004;President of the Iraqi Society for Plant Protection 1996-2003;Executive Committee member, and Vice President of the Arab Society for Plant Protection(ASPP) 2000-2017;President of ASPP 2017 until November 2020 www.asplantprotection.org ;Editor-in-Chief of the Arab Near East Plant Protection Newsletter (ANEPPNEL);Retired University Professor 2009;lives in Jordan since 2005 acting as a freelance consultant in plant protection; teaching intensive course pest and their control since 2008 until present in IAMB-Italy; established the date palm website www.iraqi-datepalms.net and www.agri-palm.com since 2007;new records of 18 beneficial insects ,nematodes, fungi and pests to the Iraqi fauna; published 25 extension brochures, booklets and leaflets for the Iraqi Ministry of Agriculture and UB; attended more than 54 international conferences and 55 national and regional workshops; 18 team leader or member in conducting studies to solve agriculture pests in Iraq; published more than 115 scientific articles, and 55 educational articles in the Iraqi newspapers and magazines ; 26 international training and visits; supervisor for 21 postgraduate students (MS and PhD);research lines Acarology, date palm pests and IPM; published 3 books and translated one from English to Arabic
