About the Organizer
The Arab Society for Plant Protection, in collaboration with the National Higher School of Agronomy as representative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Directorate of Plant Protection and Technical Control as representative of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in Algeria.
AASPP was founded in 1981, has around 800 members at present that include research scientists, university professors, extension workers, administrators, diagnosticians, quarantine officers, graduate students, policy makers, industry agents and pest management personnel. The diversity of the Society is also reflected in the extensive range of members’ disciplines. These include entomology, plant pathology, virology, nematology, bacteriology, weed science, bio-control, mycology, biotechnology, crop protection and plant breeding.
